This is my metal embossed painting
Metal Embossing
During this project we were using nature as an inspiration to make our metal embossed art work. The very first thing that we did was pick a random word out of a hat. Everyone in our class did this. We could trade and exchange our words, then we practiced writing our words in different ways. My word that I picked out of the hat was Love. I just made my writing very simple, neat, curvy, and big. Then we searched up some pictures on the internet to search up some natural life that had some kind of love in it. I searched up a picture and found a picture that was on the beach. There were two hearts overlapping each other with a wave washing up on shore. Next we got a sheet of metal and started to practice using different tools that will make our painting look much more better. Finally we started making our final product. I used probably all of the tools and it really showed. It made my picture look much more better than it would have been without the tools. Since we were going to melt a special type of wax to make some color on our metal embossing picture, we had to make some places that the wax will fall into to make sure the color will stay on the metal. We worked on the painting for quite a long time. I put blue wax onto my painting because it was supposed to be at the beach and the beach is blue. I thought this project was very fun and I enjoyed making these metal embossed picture.
