Science: I love science! It really is so much fun, and during one of
my projects we got to pick what we experiment. This project is called
Consumers Science. During this project I decided to test the absorbency
of paper towels. My three products were Bounty, Brawny, and Kirkland.
If you watch a lot of T.V you will see many Bounty commercials. In those commercials Bounty claims that they have the best paper towels and they absorb the most liquid. Guess what Bounty does absorb the most liquid! Bounty absorbed 64mL of water (on average). Brawny absorbed 59mL (on average) and Kirkland towel absorbed 50mL of water. The
cheapest brand to buy would be Kirkland with one roll of paper towels
for $1.50. Each roll has 80 paper towels. Although Bounty soaks up the
most water it costs $3.59 for a roll that has 121 paper towels. Brawny
costs $3.19 for a roll that has 102 paper towels. I would recommend
you buy Kirkland brand because they only cost $1.50 for a roll of 80
paper towels, but one paper towel from Bounty is a little bit less than
half of a paper towel from Kirkland. This also applies to Brawny too.
Even though Kirkland didn’t turn out to soak up a lot of water in my
experiment, and since you have so many towels, you can always use more
than one paper towel. Therefore I recommend buying Kirkland Towels.
Here is the graph of my results:
| Paper towel brand | Trial 1 (mL) | Trial 2 (mL) | Trial 3 (mL) | Trial 4 (mL | Trial 5 (mL) | Average (mL) |
| Bounty | 60 mL | 70 mL | 60 mL | 65 mL | 65 mL | 64 mL |
| Kirkland | 50 mL | 50 mL | 50 mL | 50 mL | 50 mL | 50 mL |
| Brawny | 60 mL | 60 mL | 60 mL | 60 mL | 55 mL | 59 mL |

Solid post! That is awesome you have pictures of testing!
